Don McCoy began designing and building canopies for tractors and mowers. That experience laid the groundwork for the product that would become Rhinohide.

Don fabricated an aluminum mold to produce a canopy from HDPE (High Density Poly Ethylene), a plastic tough beyond its pedigree.

The mold was a total failure. They just couldn’t get a good part unless they switched to ABS plastic. 

Don shelved the idea until 2013, when he decided to lay out some big bucks for a cast aluminum, thermally controlled, professionally formed mold.

His work produced a tough polyethylene canopy shell and a mounting system designed for compact tractors and mowers.

We were customers before we were owners.

When Don retired, we (Courtney & Chris) took over Rhinohide to carry his work forward.

Now we're doing everything we can to make customers aware of the toughest canopy on the market.

Today, we’re continuing to improve our canopies, create accessories, and expand the product line with products like the RhinoEdge.
