The Rhinohide Canopy for John Deere tractors just might be the best shade solution for you.
We haven’t found a John Deere we won’t fit, whether you’re running a 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5 series tractor. Older models fit just as well, but if you don’t see your model listed, pop over to our Universal Tractor Canopy listing and purchase from there.
Canopy Features
The Rhinohide Canopy is a universal canopy system designed for any tractor or mower with a Roll Over Protection System (ROPS), otherwise known as a roll bar.
True to its name, the Rhinohide Canopy is virtually unbreakable—made from a very high strength and lightweight plastic (HDPE). We have yet to hear of an encounter too strong for the canopy, yet at just 13 lb the shell is still lightweight enough for anyone to handle.
Remove your Rhinohide Canopy in just seconds with the twist of two hand screws. This is perfect if you need to remove the canopy for storage, trailering, low-clearance areas, or if you’re moving the canopy to the rear to cover your backhoe, or to another tractor or mower.
Canopy Position
Our canopy is 37″ wide x 45″ deep. The closer you mount it to your head, the more shade it will provide. The best position for the canopy is about 15″ above your head when seated. On tractors this often means mounting in front of and below the top of your roll bar.
Depending on the position of your seat, and position and design of your roll bar, mounting below the top of your roll bar may not allow for much shade behind your head. Most owners still think this position the best position, though others move the canopy higher and above the roll bar so the canopy can be placed further to their backside.
Our standard mounting components included with every Rhinohide Canopy fit 98% of John Deere tractors, but read on below to verify you don’t need any of our extended components if you tractor model isn’t in the drop down menu.
