The Rhinohide Canopy mounts to virtually any tractor or mower roll bar (ROPS), regardless of brand or shape. Square, rectangular, or round tubing. Straight or angled. Trapezoidal or bowtie—we have mounting options for them all.

If your model and roll bar configuration are listed, we’ve already identified the hardware you need. Select the matching option when ordering—no measuring required.

If your model isn’t listed, follow our measuring guide or contact us before ordering. When we encounter an unfamiliar roll bar, we work with you to find a mounting solution. Recently, we had U-bolts and L-Brackets made to fit the 3-inch round tubing on a customer’s John Deere Fairway Mower.

HOW TO INSTALL

Installing your Rhinohide Canopy

Rhinohide Canopies install with simple hand tools and typically take about 40 minutes the first time.

Tools You'll Need

Box knife for packaging
3/4" deep well socket, open-end wrench, or ratcheting wrench
(2) 1/2" open-end or box wrenches
Drill with a 3/8" bit
Tape Measure
Marker or wax pencil
A friend (this always makes things go faster!)

The Basic Process

First, decide where you want your canopy positioned—above the roll bar or in front of it.

The mounting hardware assembles with nuts and bolts, so you can fine-tune the canopy position during installation.

The only drilling required is through the plastic shell to attach the support arms.

Install your canopy while on relatively level ground.

What does the Canopy Swap Kit do?

It adds mounting hardware to a second tractor or mower so you can share one Rhinohide canopy between two machines.

What comes with the Canopy Swap Kit?

The kit includes two L-brackets, two U-bolts, two straight mounting uprights, and the hardware to fasten them together.

What moves between the machines?

The canopy shell and its attached support arms move together. The U-bolts, L-brackets, and mounting uprights stay installed on each machine.

Does the Canopy Swap Kit include a canopy or support arms?

No. It includes roll-bar mounting hardware only. You’ll use your existing Rhinohide canopy and its attached support arms.

How do I swap the canopy between machines?

Loosen the hand screws and slide the canopy assembly off the first machine’s uprights. Slide it onto the second machine’s aligned uprights and retighten the hand screws.

Will the Swap Kit work if my roll bars have different widths?

Their mounting widths must align within 6 inches. You can compare the inside width of the wider roll bar with the outside width of the narrower one. This is a compatibility check, not a promise that the mounts will align without adjustment. Contact us with both measurements before ordering.

Will I need spacers for the second machine?

You may need to supply your own spacers or bushings. Once the support arms are fastened to the canopy shell, their spacing is fixed. The second machine’s mounting uprights must align with that spacing.

Can I use the kit between two tractors or two mowers?

Yes. It isn’t limited to a tractor-and-mower combination. Both machines need compatible standard roll bars and mounting positions that align with the same canopy support-arm spacing.

Does the Canopy Swap Kit work with angled roll bars?

No. The Canopy Swap Kit is compatible with standard roll bars only.

Which machine should I measure for the Swap Kit hardware?

Measure the second machine where you’ll install the additional mounts. Standard hardware fits roll bars 41 inches wide or less, with tubing up to 2½ inches wide and 4 inches deep. You also need both machines’ mounting widths to check whether the same canopy can transfer between them.

Are the Canopy Swap Kit and Backhoe Kit the same?

Yes. Both include the same mounting hardware. The Canopy Swap Kit lets you share one canopy between two machines. The Backhoe Kit lets you move it between the tractor seat and backhoe seat on one machine.

Choose the listing for your intended use. You don’t need both for the same additional mounting location.
